How did you find out about Prime Practice?
A colleague was enrolled in the Prime Practice Management Program and said fantastic things. Being a new practice, I knew that there was a lot of systems we needed to develop. Also being a rookie at the whole business thing, I knew I needed a lot of help.
How long have you been in the Management Program?
I have been working with Prime Practice for nearly 3 years now. Doing Practice Owner's Workshop (the first workshop in the Practice Management Program) helped me to understand some of the business related things that I didn't know before and showed me the scope for improvement.
What are the biggest impacts Prime Practice has had on your practice?
There are a few key things Prime Practice has helped with:
- By knowing and understanding the numbers needed to grow, Prime Practice has given me the confidence to grow our business. From a solo dentist with two auxiliary team to myself, an associate dentist, a hygienist and 3 auxiliary team. This growth all took place this year. After one of the workshops last year, we discussed this as part of a group exercise and the advice from the coaches and other Prime Practice alumni was spot on. The growth has had a big impact on our work life and personal life and I definitely wouldn't have grown as soon without the support that Prime has offered.
- The Management Program has given me and my team a lot of structure around what we do on a daily basis, so helping us to create all the systems around running our practice. This structure is something that I would have lacked otherwise and is really important in the running of a business.
- The largest thing has been aligning the team to have the same philosophies and principles which has allowed us to cement our mission statement. This has given us great grounds for training as a team. So the impact has been not only on myself, but on the team as a whole.
